An Archival Project in Partnership with JAR2

Pre-dating the BBC World Service and the Voice of America, Radio Moscow which then

became the Voice of Russia World Service was the first radio station to broadcast internationally, eventually in 46 languages. On the air from October 29th 1929 until November 9, 2013, the VOR had been shaping the USSR's and then Russia and the Russian World's image worldwide while introducing Russia to the world  and highlighting its opinions on global events and facts that the West was ignoring or twisting while also educating the World on Russian Culture, History, Language and Society. The VOR was the most effective information warfare tool the Russian World had and was therefore targetted by the CIA, MI6 and the FVEYs in a decades long subversion which led to its liquidation, no longer to be heard - THIS IS MOSCOW .
